Congratulations on taking the next step in your tiling career! Whether you are just starting out or you have been in the industry for a while, our Fast Track Apprenticeship Program is designed to help you advance your skills, knowledge, and qualifications in wall & floor tiling.
Why Choose the Fast Track Program? Our Fast Track Program is an ideal solution for those who have already gained substantial experience in tiling, but may not have had the opportunity to complete their apprenticeship. If you’ve accumulated a wealth of on-the-job experience and are ready to formalize your skills, this program will help you breeze through the necessary qualifications at your own pace.
But don’t worry if you’re a beginner! The program is also structured to guide those new to the profession, providing clear and comprehensive resources to ensure you get the most out of your apprenticeship.
What Will You Be Doing? Your journey in this apprenticeship will be both educational and practical. Here’s what you can expect:
- Health and Safety in Construction: This is a crucial aspect of any construction-related work, and tiling is no exception. You will start with a thorough grounding in health and safety practices specific to your career, ensuring that you know how to keep yourself and others safe on the job. This section concludes with a quiz to test your knowledge and ensure you are ready to proceed.
- Assignments: You will complete a series of assignments designed to cover all the Knowledge, Skills and Behaviors (KSBs) required for a tiling professional. These assignments will involve both theoretical knowledge and practical application, ensuring you are well-rounded in your skills.
- Assignment 1: Understanding Materials, Tool, Health and Safety
- Assignment 2: Identifying Customer Needs and Product Selection
- Assignment 3: Surface Preparation and Tile Application
- Assignment 4: Problem Identification and Remedial Work
Each assignment comes with a detailed guide and a workbook where you can compile your evidence, reflections, and answers to questions. We encourage you to include photos and videos of your work wherever possible, as this will strengthen your portfolio and demonstrate your competence.
Where you are asked to include reflective accounts, please also include feedback from your employer in this section to ensure they are as involved with your learning as possible. There is also a feedback section for your employer at the end of each workbook.
Fast Track Option If you have significant prior experience, you may be eligible to fast-track through certain sections of the program. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and our advisors are on hand to discuss this option with you.

You will have access to a wealth of resources and support throughout your apprenticeship, ensuring that any questions you have are answered and any challenges you face are overcome. This platform will be updated accordingly, throughout your apprenticeship based on feedback from you, your employer and our own delivery team.
