SIA Security Guard

The Highfield Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry (RQF) course is designed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) to give people a full understanding of the role within the security industry.

The safety of persons, objects and property is the main objective of a security officer.  However, it is now also recognised that the security officer has a customer service role to play and has the opportunity and responsibility to create a good first impression of the company that they represent. Manned guarding covers a wide and varied range of duties requiring well trained and qualified Security Industry Authority (SIA) licensed security officers to take on the responsibilities associated with their role.

The Security Guarding training course is a programme designed to meet the needs of learners requiring a qualification enabling the application for an SIA licence for security guarding. The syllabus delivers the necessary understanding of the security industry and subject related security guarding functions.
