Exercise Referral

An excellent qualification that enables you to work with clients who have low lying health conditions.

This means that you will not have to turn away every client who has a medical condition.

This is an excellent addition to our personal training courses and is automatically part of the advanced diploma.

You can also either get involved with, or create your own exercise referral scheme through networking with local doctor surgeries.

This is also a pre-requisite qualification to a number of level 4 qualifications such as low back pain, obesity, diabetes  and more.

On-line Study

All of the longer duration fitness courses can be studied at your own pace using online learning. You will be provided with a hard copy learner manual in addition to a comprehensive study guide, videos, your own tutor and more. Online courses include:

  • All personal training courses
  • Gym Instructor
  • Exercise Referral
  • Level 3 Sports Massage Courses
  • Some level 4 qualifications

When you are ready, you simply discuss it with your tutor and book your assessment days.

And each assessment day has a fun workshop day to accompany it for extra support. Typically, these are held on weekends to make planning around your other commitments easier.

Fitness courses such as the certificate in personal training will require two full assessment weekends; one half way through your studies and the other at the end.

Our sports massage courses will vary with the number of assessment days needed to attend depending on the level of study. The advanced diploma in personal training will also require more than two assessment weekends due to the higher level of study.

Simple as that!


Classroom & Self-Paced Study

If you would prefer to have more classroom based learning with your fitness courses, but you don’t have the time to commit to a full-time course, then this is perfect!

Fitness courses using our part-time, blended learning option are more structured at the same time as having the flexibility needed for a busy lifestyle.

This option is more expensive than the on-line study option due to the additional time spent in the classroom with a tutor.

This option is for all of our fitness courses (excluding the 100% on-line short courses), such as our personal training courses, sports massage courses, exercise referral, level 4 low back pain and more.

Put simply, you study your course with a mix of classroom learning and guided home study. Your classroom and practical workshops days of attendance are planned with your tutor at induction.

You will be able to select your attendance days from the flexible timetable, allowing you to fit your studies around your commitments. Please note, although this is flexible, you will still aim to complete your qualification within a reasonable, pre-agreed timeframe.

You will be attending anatomy and physiology workshops, nutrition workshops (depending on your course), principles of exercise, and practical workshops tailored to your chosen qualification.

You simply plan with your tutor the workshops you can attend depending on your commitments at induction.

These workshops are run both during the week and at weekends to make your choice easy!



VASBA: This option also pays your course fees for you. Your repayments are then made over monthly instalments that are interest free. You only EVER pay back the original course fee amount.

With this option, you only pay the course fees that we charge. You are not stuck with a loan against your name like with the student loan, and your fees are up to £1987 cheaper depending on the course and delivery option you choose (self-paced, blended learning or on-line study).

Repayments for courses start from ONLY £59 per month

You can spread the fees, interest free for between 6, 9, 12 15 or 18 months depending on the sixe of the course fees. For example, courses less than £650 can be spread up to a maximum of six months. Courses over these amounts can be spread up to 15 and even 18 months depending on the amount.

Prompt repayment, 3 months or less, results in a discount from your fees.

This is not a loan like the 19+ option above so it doesn’t appear on any credit searches.

Personal Trainer Apprenticeship: An Amazing Opportunity Offered ONLY at our Academy…

This option offers an apprenticeship scheme specifically for the fitness industry whereby half of your fees can be paid through working for our partner health and fitness company – New Body Gym Ltd – as a trainee trainer.

You will undergo the fast track gym instructor qualification and complete this within 1-2 weeks. You will then begin your shifts at our gym and personal training studio as our gym instructor and trainee personal trainer.

Your weekly commitment can range from 6-16 hours each week of shifts at a rate of £7.50 per hour. Your hourly rate will go straight in to your student budget account and pay off half of the course fees each week.

In addition to typical gym instructor duties, your shifts will also include additional activities as part of your learning to help you gain essential work experience.

This is in addition to your classroom learning and will lead in to direct employment upon graduation – either with us or with one of our partners in the industry.

Government funded 19+ Advanced learner loan: this is for our full courses such as the diploma in personal training.

It is an excellent opportunity because your course fees are paid for you by the government department known as the Skills Funding Agency.

You then don’t pay anything back until you are earning over £21,000 per year. Example repayments start from £7 per month on a salary of around £22,000 per year.

Please note however that the whole time you are not repaying your student loan, interest accrues. Meaning your loan grows a little larger every year it isn’t paid. The interest rate is very small, but this can still result in your original loan amount becoming much higher over a prolonged period of time.

Pay Upfront and get 20% off

This one is short and sweet. Pay the course fees up front and receive a 20% discount off your course fees.

Would like to pay the fees up front but haven’t got the funds saved?

Many students have paid the course fees up front using their credit cards in the past. Some have used the Paypal monthly payments option in their Paypal account to pay the course fees up front.

Either way, you get to pay the course fees up front and still spread the cost over a monthly basis with your credit card company or Paypal.

These are also good ways to pay the course fees as long as you are responsible when using credit.

However you do it, paying up front is always a good way to pay the fees as you get 20% discounted off! Furthermore, if you settle the fees using your own credit, as long as you are responsible, you can pay them back via low monthly repayments.
